Arabica Castillo Variety
Developed by Colombia's Cenicafé institute, Castillo thrives in the Andean microclimate of Sonsón. Traceable to the farm. Inherently clean in the cup.
Small-Batch Roasted
Roasted in small batches by our specialist roaster, nitrogen-sealed at peak flavour. Sourced and quality-controlled by us so you receive coffee that is fresh, not coffee that has been sitting in a warehouse for months.

The origin of
our standard.
Sonsón sits in the eastern Andes of Antioquia at elevations between 1,600 and 2,000 metres. The conditions here — cool mountain air, volcanic soil, steady rainfall — don't just produce good coffee. They produce what Colombian coffee is supposed to be.
The Castillo variety was developed by Colombia's own Cenicafé institute for exactly these conditions. Clean, consistent, naturally disease-resistant — it's a variety built for quality without chemical dependency. That's not a bonus. That's the standard.
We work directly with smallholder farmers in Sonsón because fair trade isn't a marketing badge — it's part of what makes the coffee worth drinking. If the people growing it aren't treated right, the standard hasn't been met.

Which machines are STND.CAFÉ capsules compatible with?
Our capsules are designed for all Nespresso® Original Line machines — including Essenza Mini, Pixie, Citiz, Inissia, and Lattissima. Not compatible with Nespresso® Vertuo Line machines. Check that your machine uses the smaller, rounded Original Line capsules if unsure.
How does shipping work across Australia?
We ship Australia-wide via Australia Post. Standard delivery takes 2–8 business days at $11.99. Express shipping is available at checkout (1–4 days) at $15.00. Shipping cost is calculated and shown before you confirm your order.
What does STND.CAFÉ actually taste like?
A medium roast, full-bodied espresso with natural notes of dark chocolate and caramel — no added flavourings. At Intensity 8/12, it cuts through milk beautifully in a flat white or latte, and drinks clean and smooth as a straight espresso. No bitterness. The Castillo Arabica brings a natural sweetness.
How fresh are the capsules when they arrive?
Our capsules are small-batch roasted and sealed under nitrogen to lock in aroma and flavour at peak roast. Best enjoyed within 4 weeks of delivery, though they stay fresh for up to 6 months sealed in the original box.
Can I reorder easily?
Yes. Once your account is set up, reordering takes one click. We will also send you a reminder email when your box is likely running low — roughly three weeks after delivery — so you never have to think about it.
Are the capsules recyclable?
Our capsules are made from aluminium, which is infinitely recyclable through your local council recycling program. Check your local guidelines for aluminium capsule disposal in your area.
